Confluence Server Compromised

Published by DICC

Greetings all Users,

We just identified a security breach that happened at 7am in the morning on our HPC Confluence server, where the attacker was able to gain access to the server and deployed ransomware on the Confluence server.

Based on our observations, only the Confluence server is affected and the rest of the service should be unaffected. If you recently tried to login to the Confluence page, please update your password immediately at sso.dicc.um.edu.my to avoid risking your account getting compromised.

We are in the middle of recovering the Confluence server and hopefully it will be up soon. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
