The system maintenance scheduled on 26 November 2022, 12.00am (GMT+8) was successfully completed on 26 November 2022, 9.30am (GMT+8). All users should be able to access the HPC Login Node and OpenOnDemand page.
Storage Changes
The NFS home storage in the HPC has been successfully upgraded to Ceph Storage. Users should see some performance improvement on the new Ceph Storage over the previous NFS storage. The new Ceph storage will be much more fault-tolerant compared to previous NFS storage.
All files in the Home storage have been successfully migrated over to the new storage. Please check and validate all your files just in case some of the files are missing.
Quota will work slightly differently in the new Ceph storage. Previously in NFS, there was a 110G soft limit, so that even if you exceeded the limit of your user quota 100G, you can still finish the current file. This is no longer the case in the new storage. Any file that try to write exceeding the quota will be immediately failed with a quota error. If you encounter quota issues while using the new storage, please clean up your home storage data accordingly.
