Workshop Success!

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the 2D & 3D Medical Image Analysis Training with NVIDIA MONAI workshop, held on November 18th and 19th, 2025!

This hands-on, beginner-friendly training brought together enthusiastic researchers and postgraduate students for two intensive half-days focused on the cutting edge of Artificial Intelligence in medical imaging.

💡 What We Explored

The workshop was specifically designed to introduce participants to the power and practicality of using the NVIDIA MONAI framework—a key tool for building and deploying AI models for applications ranging from interpreting X-rays to analyzing complex CT scans.

Held at The Cube, FCSIT UM, the training ensured a truly interactive environment where every participant could follow along and implement the concepts being taught.

💻 Key Takeaways from the Sessions:

  • Expert-Led Sessions: Attendees benefited from guidance by experienced professionals, translating complex AI concepts into practical, understandable steps tailored for medical imaging.
  • Practical Hands-On Experience: True to the “Bring your own laptop!” mandate, participants actively engaged in running Python code and running models, gaining direct experience in handling and segmenting 2D and 3D medical datasets.
  • Deep Dive into MONAI: The core of the training focused on leveraging the modular components of MONAI to efficiently pre-process data, train models, and evaluate performance in a medical context.

🤝 Building the AI Community

Beyond the technical skills, the workshop successfully fostered networking with peers. The shared environment allowed researchers and students to connect, exchange ideas, and discuss potential collaborations on future AI projects.

Every participant who completed the training received a Certificate of Participation, marking their commitment to advancing their skills in this critical, rapidly evolving field.

🙏 A Thank You to Our Attendees

We extend our sincere thanks to all the researchers and postgraduate students who registered, attended, and brought their enthusiasm and curiosity to the workshop. The high level of engagement and interaction was key to the event’s success.

The skills gained here are foundational, and we encourage all participants to continue exploring the vast potential of AI to transform patient care and diagnostic processes.

Stay tuned for future training sessions and workshops!
