The ACP Roundtable 2026, organised by the Advanced Computing Platform (ACP) at Monash University Malaysia on 22 September 2026, provided a platform for strengthening collaboration among Malaysia’s High-Performance Computing (HPC) system administration community.
With the theme “Sustainable Maintenance and Governance of HPC Infrastructure and Community Building,” the roundtable was designed to address shared operational challenges through three key areas:
🛡️ Cybersecurity and operational resilience: Sharing practical experiences in managing technical failures, vulnerabilities, and infrastructure security.
🎓 Collaborative training: Exploring shared training in Linux, SLURM, and workflow orchestration to support technical teams across institutions.
🌏 Regional expertise: Identifying local specialists in areas such as genomics, molecular dynamics, and AI to support cross-institutional learning.
For DICC, these priorities highlight the value of connecting people and expertise alongside computing infrastructure. Stronger institutional collaboration can help build a more resilient and sustainable HPC ecosystem to support research in Malaysia. 🚀
👏 Thank you to the ACP team at Monash University Malaysia for organising this initiative.
