The Data-Intensive Computing Centre (DICC), Universiti Malaya was pleased to welcome the High-Performance Computing (HPC) team from Monash University for a knowledge-sharing and engagement session focused on HPC infrastructure, operations, and service delivery. 🖥️⚙️
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for both teams to exchange experiences and discuss the practical realities of operating and managing HPC environments within higher education and research institutions. Discussions covered operational approaches, infrastructure management, user support, resource utilisation, system administration, and the various technical and organisational challenges encountered in delivering reliable HPC services to researchers. 💡🔧
Both teams also shared insights into their respective HPC environments, including approaches to addressing operational constraints, supporting diverse research workloads, maintaining system performance, and planning for future infrastructure requirements. 🚀📊
