HPC Cluster Preparation for AI Bootcamp Training

To all HPC Users,

This announcement is to inform you of a scheduled service reservation on the HPC cluster to support the upcoming AI Bootcamp Training (18-19 November 2025).

In preparation for this event, the gpu-a100 partition will be temporarily reserved and taken offline.

Summary of Impact

• Affected Partition: gpu-a100
• Affected Nodes: gpu06, gpu07
• Service Unavailability Period: Monday, 10 November 2025, through Thursday, 20 November 2025.

Detailed Schedule

1. Node Draining: To prepare the nodes, a system drain will be initiated on gpu06 and gpu07 on Friday, 7 November 2025, at 10:00 AM. This process will prevent new jobs from starting on these nodes and allow all currently running jobs to complete gracefully.
2. Preparation & Event: The gpu-a100 partition will be offline for general use from Monday, 10 November 2025, through Thursday, 20 November 2025, to support the event.
3. Resumption of Service: The partition is expected to return to normal operation on Friday, 21 November 2025.

Service Status

Please be advised that all other HPC partitions, nodes, and services will remain fully operational and unaffected during this period.
